Which one for me?

Each course is independent. You may take one or multiple courses of your choice.

If you are unsure about your Photoshop expertise, or want to know the best course order, find more information below:

Composition is the Key

You can take it at any time

This course is different from others because it doesn't include exercises, only examples. It is a non-expensive lesson which will significantly enhance your composition skills, even if you believe you are already skilled in this area. Trust me - you will be surprised! Can be taken at any time, regardless of your editing capabilities.

Equine Black Backgrounds

The first editing course you should complete

The easiest editing course in my offer. Start with this one. This course is about editing in Lightroom and Photoshop - beginning with easy stuff, going towards more advanced and finishing with a full "horse beauty edit". It also involves a lot of knowledge about shooting BBGs. You need to know Lightroom workspace (what is where and how to perform basic Lightroom processing), and you should have very basic Photoshop knowledge (workspace, basic tools). After this course, you will not be a beginner any more.

Equine Beauty Edit

Intermediate Photoshop level

More difficult than "Black Backgrounds", and probably slightly easier than "Painterly". It involves layers and masks but in a pretty straightforward way. No Lightroom involved, so if you wish to learn more about image processing, start with "Black Backgrounds" course and then take the"Beauty Edit" as the next one. It would make a lot of sense. "Horse Beauty Edit" covers all areas of detailed editing of a horse's body and face, including eye edit and hair management.

Painterly Backgrounds

Advanced Photoshop level

I would say that if you have completed Black Backgrounds Course and didn't struggle with it, you may try "Painterly Backgrounds.". Especially since you need a black background editing to convert your image to a painterly background anyway. To succeed with "Painterly Backgrounds" course, you should be comfortable with using layers and masks in Photoshop.

Difficult Selections Course

Advanced Photoshop - a challenging course

Take this course ONLY if you are an advanced Photoshop user. It requires an ability to comfortably work with layers masks and channels, and to switch between them constantly. Includes adjustments layers, clipping masks, different tool modes. If you have completed a "Painterly Backgrounds" course without problems and struggle, you may go for this one.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does "one year access" mean?

It means that you will have unlimited access to the course for 365 days from the day of purchase. You may watch it as many times as you wish. All course materials, like brushes, backgrounds or images, will be yours forever. Software evolves, and I can't guarantee that what now is the best editing method, will remain the same in future. One year is a lot of time to watch and learn.

  • What are difficulty levels of the courses?

If you are unsure whether the course is suitable for your Photoshop expertise, or if you'd like to know the best order to take my courses, here is some information that may help you: https://courses.agakarmol.art/pages/choosing-course

  • Do you offer discounts for multi-buys?

Unfortunately, I don’t offer bundles or multi-buy discounts. The courses are on different difficulty levels, I’d like to avoid situations where students buy a course that’s too advanced for them only because it was in a bundle.

  • Can I keep course materials when my access expired?

Yes, no matter the access period (enrollment) length, the course materials (brushes, overlays etc) are yours forever.

  • I get "Uncompatible with this version of Photoshop" message when I am trying to install the brushes. What do I do?

Brushes are compatible with all versions of PS, I check them with every new version - I also use the same brushes that I include in my courses. HOWEVER: a very few of you (around 1-2%) will get this message due to some software errors with unpacking the downloaded file. Contact me and I will send you the uncompressed brushes.

  • I stumbled on a problem, can I get some help?

Yes - this is what my "Photography courses with Aga Karmol" Facebook group is for. It's a small private group available ONLY to my students. Join the group, ask the question. I will help you (or someone else will) - and others would learn from your experience too. Address of the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/602569864352369
